A3:You can control your Wi-Fi Power Point Controller from any location in the world, as long as your iOS / Android device can access the internet through Wi-Fi or 4G/3G network.
Q4:Why has my Wi-Fi Power Point Controller turned off unexpectedly?
A4:Your Wi-Fi network may have turned off. Please check and restart your wireless router, then power-on the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller.
Q5:What appliances are suitable to use with the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller?
A5:The Wi-Fi Power Point Controller will work with any home appliance that currently plugs into a power point and draws under 2400W power. The Wi-Fi Power Point Controller is best suited to appliances which do not contain internal on/ off switching, or which can be switched to an always on state. For example, a traditional lamp would be well suited to the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller, but a touch-lamp which resets to the off position when the power is cut, would not be a good choice for the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller.
Q6:I can’t connect to my Wi-Fi Power Point Controller from outside of my home Wi-Fi Network.
A6:You will need to enable port forwarding to access the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller from outside your home.
Q7:Can I control multiple Wi-Fi Power Point Controllers?
A7:Yes, you can add up to 150 Wi-Fi Power Point Controllers to your home network. Note: The number of devices that can be connected to your home network depends on your router / modem. Refer to manufacturer instructions for more information.
Q8:Can others within my home network control my Wi-Fi Power Point Controller?
A8:Yes, refer to, “Controlling your Wi-Fi Power Point Controller from a second iOS / Android device” in this product guide. Each Wi-Fi Power Point Controller also has a lock function which will prevent others on your network from seeing it. This can be controlled from the Settings menu.
Q9:What can I use the countdown function for?
A9:This will leave appliances on for a time that you set. It can be used as a timer to turn off appliances you only want on for a period of time. For example, set your phone charger to turn off after 3 hours to stop power draw after your phone has charged.
Q10:Why is light on the front of my Wi-Fi Power Point Controller flashing red?
A10:If the light is slowly flashing red, the device cannot connect to your network. If the light is flashing quickly, the unit is in pairing mode.
Q11:How do I reset the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller?
A11:Connect the Wi-Fi Power Point Controller to a power source and hold down the power button for 5 seconds to reset the unit.
Q12:Why is my Timing function not working?
A12:For the Timing function to work, the handset need to have “Automatic date & time” setting on.
Q13:How to do if can't configure by "Smart Setup"? A13:Please use "AP" mode to configure the Wifi socket if you fail to configure by using "Smart Setup".
